I have an Asus N550JV, and right after buying it, I installed Windows 8.1. I downloaded all the drivers from the Asus-Homepage and installed them. My Problem: I can't activate the keyboard-backlight anymore. Usually, I have to press fn+F4 to activate it, but it doesn't work (it's the same with some other key-combinations). ASUS M580VD-EB54 VivoBook 15.6' FHD thin and light Gaming Laptop (Intel Core i5-7300HQ, GTX 1050 2GB, 8GB DDR4, 256GB SSD), backlit keyboard. I'm asking 'cause I have an Asus Laptop Q553UB and it happened to me the same as you guys, I've tried to reinstall the driver from the Asus website, reinstall windows and nothing happens. I was having an issue with my keyboard light pereodically not working. I found a post that said to cover your light sensor with your hand.

Hello everyone,This will be a bit of an odd 1 because I just observed it like two times ago (and i've become using my laptop constantly since then). I'm currently running a 3 monitor setup (including my laptop as one monitor) and I use the keyboard ón the laptop ás the main keyboard until I get a mechanised external one particular. Anyhow, I unplugged everything one time and required it to college with me ánd when I obtained house as I has been coding away at night I noticed I has been getting a hard time seeing the keys and I noticed the backlights had been off. They nevertheless are usually, and I possess no thinking fór why this might'vé happened. It'beds a h750JX from Dubai with specifications of: i7 4700HQueen, 24 gigs of ram memory, 1tt+256gig ssd, and I'michael operating on windows 8. It'h about a month old now and I keep pressing the Fn + backlight brighten key (N4) and it's jsut not operating.
